Membership is open to all persons who live, work,
or worship in Walker County, Texas, AND their immediate family
members.
JOINING IS EASY
If you are eligible for membership, simply drop by the credit
union to complete and sign a signature card and make your
initial deposit.
(NOTE: THE USA PATRIOT ACT requires that
we apply certain identity verification procedures when someone
opens an account. The minimum identifying information we must
obtain includes your legal name, address, date of birth, and
other documentation that will allow us to identify you such
as a valid drivers license).
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO JOIN
THE CREDIT UNION?
It costs only $10.00 to join --- a $5.00 initial one time
membership fee, and a $5.00 deposit to purchase one (1) share
which must stay in your regular share savings account.
WHO RUNS THE CREDIT UNION?
Overall policies are set by the Board of Directors who are
elected each year by the credit union members present at the
annual meeting.The day-to-day affairs are managed by a staff
of paid employees.
HOW SAFE IS MY MONEY IN THE CREDIT
UNION?
Your deposits are Federally Insured up to $100,000.00 by the
National Credit Union Administration, a U. S. Government Agency. |
